task_for_today

1. Conduct a S.W.A.T analysis of your three chosen flowgraph nodes. Post a blog entry that details your findings.

Note: a S.W.A.T analysis looks at the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats regarding a particular issue.

2. Discuss your chosen flowgraph nodes and their potential for combination with your tutor.

3. Create the second 30 second (Max!) video clip demonstrating mastery of one of your flowgraph nodes.

4. Upload your 30 second video clip to your blog. Write a short caption beneath it to explain what it is about this video that demonstrates mastery.

Complete by the beginning of the next tutorial.

1.
Upload your third (and final) 30 second video clip to your blog. Write a short caption beneath it to explain what it is about this video that demonstrates mastery.

2. With the combined potential of the flowgraph nodes researched above in mind write a 250 word (maximum) brief for your Porosity Lens.

Note: In simple terms a Porosity Lens is a way to understand peoples navigation through an environment. A key aspect is that it takes into account how long people spend at certain places. This reflects on the public/private nature of those places. The use of the term 'lens' in Porosity Lens is metaphorical; in other words instead of using a glass lens to focus rays of light into an image (as is the case in a literal lens) students in BENV2423 are using flowgraph nodes to focus information to create a real-time interactive environment.

Flowgraphs don't exist in a vacuum; depending on the students concept they will need to link/embed flowgraphs in objects, spaces, vehicles, characters that in some cases will need to be custom designed and built in SketchUp.

3. Keep adding to your Research post as you find more valuable info during the rest of the course. This will help you immeasurably with your Research assignment.
